Las Vegas Weddings

The city of Las Vegas is known world wide for two things: gambling and weddings. If your are not a fan of the first thing, at some point we all get married, and what better way to do it than run away and get married.

Everybody knows that if you want to be spontaneous and run away to get marry, Las Vegas is the Marriage Capital of the World due to the ease in acquiring a marriage license and the minimal costs involved.


Not only this, the city offers a great variety of wedding choices and finding the theme you prefer is quick and easy.

Acquiring a marriage license in Las Vegas is a simple process, as there is no blood test or required waiting period. You just have to complete a short form and you’ll be married right away. And just like snapping your fingers, you and your sweetheart are legally married.

There are numerous options for wedding ceremonies in Las Vegas. The least expensive option, costing $50, is to marry at the Marriage Commission of Las Vegas, and this type of ceremony may be a civil (non-religious) or a religious service.

With an average of 120,000 weddings a year, the Las Vegas wedding industry is competitive and ceremony locations are plentiful. Most of the city’s major hotels have wedding chapels and many of the local restaurants offer wedding ceremonies. Weddings may also be performed in the local churches, at one of the many golf courses, or at a free standing wedding chapel.

Drive-thru weddings are also available, and if you think these are crazy how about motorcycle and gazebo weddings? Talk about living in a speed era; yes, you can have it anyway you like it.

Many of the chapels, such as Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel also offer themed weddings. Common themes include Hawaiian, fairy tale, Star Trek, gothic and the most popular of all, weddings with an Elvis impersonator. Inside the Las Vegas Hilton you can find several Star Trek packages. Another popular theme is a pirate ship wedding at Treasure Island. I wonder…will Johnny Depp be there?

So with the variety of places to wed and the numerous themed receptions don’t forget that once the wedding vows are exchanged, then the real Las Vegas party begins!
